Chris Dalton had a QBR slide to fill and no good way to fill it. He could report how many case studies he published, or the number of G2 reviews he collected. What he couldn’t tell leadership was the only numbers they care about: what reps did with the content he produced and whether any of that content helped win deals.

The Data Chris Never Had Before

Peerbound Measure tracks which deals used customer proof and how it affected win rate. That means Chris can point to exactly which rep used a competitive win story, when in the deal they used it, and how it moved the outcome. He is using that data to drive his sales adoption goal, spotlighting the reps already using customer proof well and nudging the ones who aren't.

The Centerpiece of the QBR

On one Gainsight product line, deals with proof in them won at 5.7X the rate of deals without. Company-wide, win rates ran about 7.8% higher when reps used proof. Chris also found that bringing proof up two or three times across a deal drives a bigger lift than mentioning it once, which is a finding he now uses to coach the sales team.

In his latest QBR, Chris featured revenue attribution and win-rate lifts "that take customer proof from being the thing you conveniently leave out of the presentation to the highlight of the presentation." His manager immediately saw the value of Chris’s work and asked him to record a Loom walkthrough of the dashboard for the rest of the leadership team.

So Why Chris Didn't Build This Himself?

Chris is also leveraging Peerbound’s MCP integration with Claude Cowork to keep Gainsight’s customer story library current. He built a skill that refreshed all 120 slides with the latest quotes and metrics, and now runs the same skill to produce new case study slides automatically. Reps have also started using the integration themselves, and Gainsight has made more than 5,000 MCP calls in three months.

So when people ask why Gainsight doesn't just build all of this with an LLM, Chris's answer is simple. You could try, and you'd spend your time maintaining a stack of fragile tools that never matches a purpose-built product. In a job that runs on relationships, one hallucinated quote pinned to the wrong customer costs more than any customer proof platform. "If I only had budget for one tool, it would be Peerbound," he said.

Chris, you’re raising the bar for customer marketers everywhere. Keep crushing it!
